vaughan Road Academy Library was established in 1988, just one year after the Academy was built. Now it had 2,800 square feet of floor space and a total collection of near 30,000 items.

In 1996, the Vaughan Road College became the Vaughan Road Academy. Between that time and 2003, the Vaughan Road Academy Library developed rapidly. The collection increased to 3,000 volumes. During that period, the Vaughan Road Academy Library Committee was one of the Academy's standing committees.
